Howard and Victoria have pleasure in offering you all a warm welcome to our traditional English ,country pub.

Originally built in 1649 as a coaching Inn ,we have both taken great pride in maintaining the original character and warm atmosphere of The Hooden on The Hill, with flagstone floors, oak beams and hops hanging from the ceiling .

One of our biggest joys are the two cosy log fires that we have burning in the long cold Winter months and we love to share this with our customers who possibley after a long walk or just a short stroll can pop in and warm those cold feet and hands, with a drink in hand,oh one of life's gentle pleasures!

In the summer months our customers can enjoy the newly developed large beer gardens with a fun play area for children to let off steam, while the grown ups can sit back with a long cold beer, or whatever your tipple may be!
In the garden there is Animal Corner, with rabbits, goats and chickens , always a hit, not just for the children but maybe for the child in all of us to enjoy !

We offer a varied selection of real ales that are Cask Marque accredited.Tempting for any real ale connoisseur! Or even the casual drinker.

Most importantly our food is lovingly prepared and cooked in our kitchens by experienced chefs who take a pride in good food.

We try to source most of our ingredients locally wherever possible. The Meat is from T&L Coopers of Ashford, The bread from Davies bakery in Ashford, our vegetables from Perry Court farm shop just down the road and the fish is from Griggs fishmongers in Hythe, all freshly caught.

There are always things happening at The Hooden on The Hill from Beer Festivals to Theme nights.

So please come and join us, we look forward to seeing you.
